Fumbling the Future? Clean Energy Insights from the 2025 Ideas Summit
Following historic investments during the Biden Administration, the United States has tremendous opportunities to speed the transition to a cleaner, more sustainable energy future that lowers costs and strengthens the economy for everyone. But between political uncertainty and systematic hangups, the nation might lose this momentum and fumble our competitive advantage in the sustainable energy transition.
The NewDEAL Forum has released a new report outlining historic opportunities, emerging challenges, and state and local policy solutions in the clean energy space. The report draws on conversations at the 2025 Ideas Summit in Atlanta, including our clean energy breakout session co-paneled by Kristina Costa, former Deputy Assistant to the President and Director of the White House Office of Clean Energy Innovation and Implementation; Shane Londagin, Senior Policy Advisory for Climate and Energy at Third Way; and NewDEALer Tram T. Nguyen, Massachusetts State Representative and Chair of the House Committee on Climate Action and Sustainability.
