Column: Virginia moves forward in race for clean, affordable energy

Virginians are feeling the squeeze. Groceries cost more, gas prices remain unpredictable, and for too many families, the electric bill has become one more source of stress at the kitchen table.

That’s why investing in clean, affordable energy matters. Offshore wind, solar and a modernized grid mean more energy supply and more stable prices, which can lower bills and improve  reliability for Virginians, but only if we build these projects efficiently. For too long, red tape, infrastructure bottlenecks and workforce shortages have slowed our progress.

The clean energy economy is already taking shape. Offshore wind is moving from the drawing board to reality, and solar projects are coming online across the commonwealth.
